‐ In addition to required documents, applicants may submit items such as certificates, volunteer work history, and portfolios, which can be uploaded on the Supplementary tab in the online application.
‐ Students may re-apply, even for the same semester. Improved grade reports or additional documents (optional academic documents) should be submitted with re-application.
‐ Scholarship and Financial Aid applications are included in the online application form. A Self-Regulated statement for the applications is required. The SUNY Korea Scholarship Committee will review the application based on academic performance, extracurricular activities, honors/awards, and essays. Please refer to the SUNY Korea Undergraduate Scholarship and Financial Aid Guide (Policies & Regulations > Stony Brook > Scholarship Guide).
‐ Since scholarship review is conducted only for admitted students, you will receive your scholarship result letter within 2 weeks after receiving your acceptance letter.
‐ SUNY Korea Stony Brook University recruits new students every Spring and Fall semester. The Spring semester application period is from July/August of the previous year to January/February of the current year. The Fall semester application is from October/November of the previous year to July/August of the current year.
The tuition fee is 23,550 USD per year, and the IEC tuition fee is 4,950 USD per session. Tuition fees and other associated costs during the study abroad in the New York campus may vary.
‐ IEC students need to complete Level 114, with a grade of B or better and satisfy all IEC program requirements. Students who pass the TOEFL (iBT 80, ITP 550, or Essentials 9.0), IELTS (6.5), or Duolingo English Test (105) while attending the IEC Program at any level, are still expected to achieve a minimum of B average in their current IEC course in order to be cleared for undergraduate admission.
