We are excited to announce an additional internship opportunity (not an official UN internship, but a job experience program) at the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction Office for Northeast Asia and Global Education Training Institute for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR ONEA-GETI), located in G-Tower, Songdo. UNDR ONEA-GETI was established in 2010 with support from the Ministry of Interior and Safety of the Government of the Republic of Korea and the Incheon Metropolitan City to develop a new cadre of professionals in disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation for disaster-resilient societies. UNDRR ONEA-GETI follows the mandate of UNDRR to serve as the focal point in the United Nations system. UNDRR ONEA-GETI supports and promotes effective implementation of the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction 2015-2030 among governments, city leaders, the private sector, universities, the science community, NGOs and other international organizations. Note: Applicants must be able to work 8 hours per day
Internship Stipend: Interns for international organizations are not remunerated. However, this internship position will receive a small stipend from the City of Incheon.
40,000 KRW / 8 hours
Qualification
Enrolled in an undergraduate (graduate) school program in Incheon-based universities
Fluency in Korean and English (written & verbal) required
Main Tasks:
Support UNDRR staff with research, translation, communication, course material preparation and smooth operations of training and advocacy
